The renovation and extension of a family house in a conservation area in rural Worcestershire. A new master bedroom, bathroom and dressing room is provided over a 45 square metre area. Exposed larch structure internally is offset with a burnt Shou Sugi Ban exterior to compliment and challenge the existing 1960s house.
The project received planning consent in April and is due to start on site in the Autumn.

A table made to seat thirteen in the Slade Galleries, London.
The CNC machined oak table top sets out 13 places with a water jet cut steel undercarriage projecting out individual seats from the centre. The table was also displayed at the 100% design festival in London.
Office for an Inventor
Strip out and renovation of an old industrial unit on a very tight budget and time frame. A Dichroic film was introduced at clerestory height to reflect the colours of the day down into the room.

A project to strategise the inheritance of land in Kyoto. The design explores the assembly of ceramic shoji screens to divide traditional houses rather than to demolish and reconstruct houses in the traditional division of property as it passes to the next generation.
